The importance of vocabulary instruction is nothing new for most teachers; however, many of the traditional approaches do not increase students’ vocabulary knowledge or result in the transfer into thinking, speaking, and writing. This MicroPD Course emphasizes the intentional planning, prioritization, and instruction of vocabulary using a variety of research-based strategies.
