The whole group lesson is structured to engage student interest in the lesson content, introduce key vocabulary and move students through a sequence of carefully planned Learning Activities and formative assessments that equip them to meet the grade-level standards targeted by the lesson. During the whole group lesson, teachers demonstrate skills and support students with distributed summarizing and guided practice.
