COLLABORATIVE-PAIRSCollaborative Pairs is a key strategy for increasing student engagement as they are learning. Collaborative Pairs is a learning strategy where students are paired during Lesson Instruction in order to think, write, and/or discuss the information they are learning. Frequent opportunities to process information with a partner throughout each lesson utilizes the second most effective research-based strategy, summarizing. This course provides different methods for using Collaborative Pairs effectively as an organizational tool to support high levels of learning. You will learn how to maximize student learning with a variety of Collaborative Pairs strategies intentionally selected to support the learning goals of a lesson. Ideas are also provided for managing and supporting productive Collaborative Pairs.
