19. Types of Vocabulary Displays

There are two types of Vocabulary Displays:

1. High Frequency Word Walls, which are used only in primary grades
2. Academic Content Word Walls, which are used in all grades

 

While the function is the same, the primary difference between the two is the way they are organized and the types of words displayed are different.

• High Frequency Word Walls are organized alphabetically so students can find and use the words they need.
• Content Word Walls are organized by concept because it helps students find and use the words they need.
