If Previewing and Scaffolding fail to ensure that students are successful during the Lesson Instruction or Lesson Assessment, then it may be necessary to use Remediation with struggling students before moving on to the next lesson.
In this MicroPD, you will learn how to plan and use Remediation so that it helps to catch up students before progressing in the lesson. You will learn to do this using both feedback and feedforward to help students understand what to do differently and what next steps they will need to take to be successful. You will also reflect on how to present essential content and skills in different ways to help students who struggled to grasp it initially.
