Effective Lesson Instruction is planned by first clearly articulating what students Will Know and Will Be Able To do as a result of the Lesson Instruction and developing a Lesson Essential Question that communicates those goals. Goals specify the purpose of a lesson for both students and teachers. With a clear purpose, all instructional activities and materials are aligned, and both students and teachers can assess progress toward the established goals.
