Learning Goals define what students will learn. Learning Activities are the experiences provided in the lesson that allow students to acquire and understand the content defined in the Learning Goals. In this MicroPD Course you will review how to sequence Learning Goals to determine the sequence of the Learning Activities and how to select Learning Activities aligned to those goals. An important consideration when planning Learning Activities is to ensure that students are actively mentally engaged. This involves planning frequent opportunities for Collaborative Pairs to respond to questions, summarize their learning, and collaborate in quick summarizing/practice activities. Effective use of Collaborative Pairs is an area of emphasis in this MicroPD Course.
