As pointed out by Fisher and Frey in Better Learning Through Structured Teaching (p. 63), supervising the whole class as they watch a video does not maximize a teacher’s instructional time. Instead, make the video one of the Learning Stations. Small groups can watch a video, use a study guide to discuss what they learned, and then complete individual tasks such as summarizing the video or responding to questions.
