Higher Order Thinking processes are at the Application Level of Learning (Level 4). These processes involve learning concepts to the degree that the information is applied authentically to new contexts using five specific thinking processes: Generating Ideas, Problem Solving, Decision Making, Investigating (Research), and Experimenting. These are categorized as processes because each one integrates multiple Higher Order Thinking strategies. Because of the complexity of thinking required by these processes, it is important for students to be proficient with applying Higher Order Thinking strategies first. In this course, you will learn how to integrate Higher Order Thinking processes in some of your lessons.
