14. Generating Ideas – Direct Instruction

Generating Ideas means to think of many varied and original ideas for solving a problem.
To do that I first need to define my task.

In this scenario, my problem is that I need to buy a vehicle that meets my needs and stays within my budget. In order to do that, I will need to gather relevant information. I will first need to brainstorm ideas about what I need my vehicle to include. After I brainstorm multiple, varied possibilities, such as needing good gas mileage and room for up to five people, I will use the criteria to evaluate each vehicle to make sure it is feasible to buy.
