Acceleration must be organized so that it is used consistently and pervasively in classrooms and across school buildings. Acceleration plans work best when all available resources are considered and used to help support classroom teachers in implementing practices during regular content core instruction. In this MicroPD you will conduct a self-assessment by completing an inventory of the Acceleration practices you currently use in your lessons. You will use this inventory to reflect on changes you will make, and why.
Important: Acceleration requires a school-wide instructional focus on differentiation, previewing, and scaffolding grade-level content and assignments for all students, but especially struggling students.
